Dena Daniel President |
Director of Data Analytics Integration and Development, Imperium Health Dena Daniel is the President-Elect of the Oklahoma HIMSS Board and a solutions-driven leader with expertise in IT, Revenue Cycle, and Value-Based care. She currently serves as Director of Analytics, Integration, and Development, overseeing data integration projects. Prior to joining Imperium in 2022, Dena spent 22 years at a local hospital, holding roles such as Chief Administrative Officer, CIO, and Revenue Cycle Director. She also led the implementation of MIPS/MACRA modules and served as ACO Project Lead. Dena holds a BBA from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a master's in telecommunications management from Oklahoma State University. |

Ryan Smith President Elect |
Director, Oracle Health Practice Leader, Impact Advisors Ryan Smith currently serves as the President-Elect for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board and is the Oracle Health Practice Director at Impact Advisors. Before this role, he held a similar position at RSM US, where he focused on large-scale EHR implementation and strategy projects for healthcare organizations. Prior to his time at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where he was the Patient Financial Services Director focused on enhancing cash flow through effective billing and collections management, Ryan worked at Cerner, gaining valuable experience in health information technology. A dynamic leader in healthcare consulting, Ryan specializes in driving transformative change within hospitals and health systems. He has a strong track record of implementing and optimizing Cerner (now Oracle Health) solutions to maximize ROI and improve financial performance. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cheering for the Chiefs, Royals, and Thunder, and supporting his three kids in their various hobbies. |
Marla Throckmorton Treasurer |
Director of Health Informatics, Lantana Consulting Group Marla Throckmorton currently serves as the Treasurer for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board. Marla has 28 years of experience in health care from direct care nursing to executive nursing leadership. Her background covers diverse healthcare environments. She has leadership experience in long-term acute care hospitals, short-term acute care hospitals, and medical surgical and emergency departments, as well as multi-specialty experience in outpatient ambulatory care that included primary care, pharmacy, dental and radiology departments. Her direct care experience includes pediatrics, emergency department, home health, and critical access hospitals. At Lantana, Marla is the Director of Health Informatics which supports resources and resource management. She also provides executive oversight on several projects, leading Lantana staff to reach their highest potential in serving our clients, our mission, and the industry. Her work as a senior clinical analyst supports project managers and teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables and maintaining consistency with Lantana’s strategy, commitments, and goals. |
Amanda Carver Secretary |
Emergency Preparedness and Response Service Systems Coordinator, Oklahoma State Department of Health Amanda Carver currently serves as the Secretary for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board. Amanda is employed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in Emergency Preparedness and Response Services department. She serves as Systems Coordinator in the Public Health Intelligence Group. She is responsible for developing processes and workflows and managing public health response and operational systems utilized by both internal and external stakeholder. Amanda graduated from Friends University in 2001 with a degree in Biology and in 2020, graduated from Johnson County Community College with dual certifications in Health Information Systems Implementation and Support Specialist and Health Information Systems Workflow Management and Training Specialist. Amanda serves as Healthcare Information Systems Advisory Board Committee for Johnson County Community College and is a mentor through their Healthcare Information Services Program. Amanda is employed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in Emergency Preparedness and Response Services department. |
Robert Coffey Tribal Liaison Chair |
Clinic Director, Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma - Perkins Family Clinic Robert Coffey currently serves as the Tribal Liaison Committee Chair for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board. Rober is an enrolled citizen of the Comanche Nation and is currently the Clinic Director for the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma – Perkins Family Clinic. With over three decades of executive leadership in Healthcare and Information Technology as well as being a Tribal Healthcare Advocate, Robert shares a passion for how Information Technology has transformed the way we live, learn, and acquire knowledge. Robert shares real life and personal stories that connect with audiences on an intimate and individual level. He has served on several health boards, providing insight and direction regarding challenges and constant changes that organizations face. While consistently learning every day, he carries and holds on to his traditional teachings of his family and ancestors that have come before him. |
Lisa Lyon Nursing Informatics Liaison Chair |
Sr. Clinical Informatics Coordinator, Cherokee Nation Lisa Lyon currently serves as the Nursing Informatics Liaison Committee Chair for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board. Lisa is Senior Clinical Informatics Coordinator/IT Training for the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, OK. Lisa has been a frequent consultant to tribal and IHS informatics projects and committees. Lisa is active in HIMSS (Oklahoma HIMSS Board, Native American Community Co-Chair and Nursing Informatics Education Taskforce) and has participated in multiple national health informatics initiatives (AMIA, ONC, HHS, and Robert Wood Johnson). She was one of 23 inaugural ONC Health IT Fellows and the only tribal/IHS representative. Lisa received her MSN-Healthcare Informatics from the University of Colorado and has maintained Certified Diabetes Educator status for 22 years. |

Collin Cory Local Advocacy Liaison Chair |
Vice President, Business Development, Oracle Collin Cory currently serves as the Local Advocacy Liaison Chair for the Oklahoma HIMSS Board. Collin serves as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Oracle Health, where he oversees growth and competitive strategies. A seasoned leader in business development and operations, he is committed to fostering collaboration with clients, partners, and internal teams to exceed business objectives. Additionally, Collin owns Sought Group, focusing on investment opportunities in tech and energy. Collin joined Cerner in 2011 as an Integration Architect, leading the deployment of a sepsis algorithm and managing Electronic Health Records implementations at over 200 hospitals. He later oversaw Sales, Operations, and Clinical Strategy for Cerner’s Investor-Owned/Commercial business. Since 2022, he has led Oracle Health’s sales efforts, generating over $3 billion in sales. Active in his community, Collin serves on the board of a YMCA and is involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration/Management and Marketing from Oklahoma State University. |
